In-House Certified Hand Therapy
Elise is an occupational therapist who graduated in 2000 from McGill University in Montreal; a well-known university for the medical field. She has a strong passion for hand therapy and treating patients with upper extremity dysfunctions due to orthopedic or neurological injuries. Elise is a certified hand therapist, a very difficult certification to obtain. As of April 2016, it is a title owned by only 5812 therapists in USA.
Her other interests include dancing Latin dances such as salsa, tango, flamenco, bachata, and cha cha, cooking, running, bicycling, kayaking, camping, hiking, skiing, traveling, learning Spanish, practicing Capoeira and building a butterfly and hummingbird sanctuary.
Elise and her husband have four children and 3 grandchildren. Elise’s family is dispersed in USA, Canada and Italy.
Prior to being an occupational therapist Elise was a massage therapist for 15 years. During those years, she has developed a deep interest in ergonomics which brought her to occupational therapy study. Elise is always eager to continue to hone her skills and knowledge through many conferences and courses she takes every year, always more than her occupational and hand therapy license renewal require.
